In this interactive workshop, Chef Lewis Robinson will demonstrate different types and styles of knives and their general purposes, as well as basic knife cuts and shapes. He will share techniques on preparing fish, followed by a demonstration on assembling a dressing using summer produce. Participants will have an opportunity to learn a new recipe and sample the creation.
A handout will be provided. This English demonstration workshop is for adults only. Please wear closed-toe footwear.
About Lewis Robinson: Chef Lewis Robinson is a professional knife sharpener and co-owner of La Petite Primrose in Gatineau. He has taught culinary techniques for many years and aims to connect farmers and creators during memorable social gatherings.
This workshop will be held in the Kitchen at the Routhier Community Centre (172 Guigues Avenue) and is part of Ottawa Public Library’s Kitchen Experiences series.
