SUMMARY:Municipal Elections Workshop
DESCRIPTION:New to the voting process? Join us for a voting workshop&nbsp\;for adults&nbsp\;developed by the City of Ottawa’s Elections Office.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;The presentation will broadly cover key election information and will be followed by a mock voting activity.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;The session includes&nbsp\;a short presentation followed by a mock&nbsp\;voting activity. During the presentation\, attendees will learn about the upcoming 2026 Municipal Elections&nbsp\;that&nbsp\;will broadly cover key election information\, followed by the voting activity.&nbsp\;During the mock-voting activity\,&nbsp\;&nbsp\;the room will be set up to resemble a voting place. Election staff &nbsp\;will walk attendees through casting a vote and&nbsp\;demonstrate&nbsp\;what they can expect in the voting place this October.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;This presentation is offered in English and is&nbsp\;designed for first-time&nbsp\;adult&nbsp\;voters and new Canadians who may not have voted in a Canadian election in the past.&nbsp\;
