Once Halloween is over, what should you do with your jack o’ lantern before it makes its way to the green bin? You could let it rot and get moldy OR you could bring it to the library and smash it! Fun fact: breaking things into tiny bits helps them compost faster!
BYOP - Bring Your Own Pumpkin (If you didn’t carve a pumpkin, ask a friend or neighbour if you can bring theirs)
We’ll be playing Jack o’ Lantern Tee Ball to see who can hit their pumpkin chunks the farthest. Next we’ll practice our aim with the ‘target smash.’ Finally, we’ll end with a competitive game to clean up the park.
The pumpkin destruction will occur at Harwick Park, the greenspace just across the parking lot from Centennial branch.
Come wearing a costume or you’ll be forced to wear a silly hat.
