The Stittsville branch is pleased to host the Gift of Sustainability series from Eco West Enders. Trying to live a kinder, gentler life for the planet doesn't have to feel like a sacrifice. With the right mindset and actions, it can feel like a gift. Join Eco West Enders for this three part workshop as they explore what a gift it can be when you live through the lens of sustainability. Join us for one, two or all three! All events are family friendly.
The Gift of Seeds and Native Gardening
Did you know that the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library supported over 5000 community projects last year, distributing over 100,000 seed packets of 265 native species? And did you know all of those seed packets were assembled by volunteers? Join us on Saturday September 27th as we help the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library continue their free mission of providing native seeds to all. We will separate, package and enjoy the presence of these tiny gifts. Each participant can take home a packet of seeds to be ready for next Spring's growing season! This event is presented in partnership with Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library.
Established in 2019, Eco West Enders is a west Ottawa based (though open to all) group of like-minded individuals looking to offer local, community events that support sustainable living. Through our Pollinator Patch Program, our Kid's Clothing Swap & Sew, our partnership with OSEAN on The Lone Mitten Project, our Speaker Series or various other diversion efforts, Eco West Enders is always trying to find ways to support our community's sustainable efforts.
