In this activity students build a model bee with foam balls and pipe cleaners for wings, legs, antennae, proboscis and stinger while learning that all insects have 3 body parts, 2 antennae and 6 legs (3 pairs). They learn about the importance of pollinators and how bees use a proboscis to get nectar by making a working paper model of a proboscis that they can use to try to ‘eat like a bee’. Presented by Let’s Talk Science. Ages 7-12. Registration required.
