Talking Trash: Insights from a Sociologist Garbage Collector, with Simon Paré‑Poupart

Join us at the St-Laurent branch to talk about trash – literally. Simon Paré-Poupart, a Montréal based author who is known for his non-fiction book Ordures! Journal d’un vidangeur (2024) will be in conversation with Hugues Beaudoin-Dumouchel discussing his book and offering a unique point of view inside the world of waste collection. 

Q&A with the audience and signing session to follow. Our friends from Coin du livre bookstore will be on hand selling copies of Simon’s book.

About Simon Paré-Poupart 

Simon Paré-Poupart has been collecting garbage for twenty years. His university studies in sociology and international administration, as well as his experience as a social worker, have not deterred him from his true calling as a garbage collector. Ordures! is his first book.
