Meteorologist Brian Barge will describe how to get reliable weather information, how to interpret it, and the nature of weather systems. He will describe how to keep the odds in your favour and how to interpret large weather systems for planning ahead. A brief presentation will stimulate audience interaction through questions and dialogue.
About Brian
Brian received a doctorate in meteorology from McGill University. As a research scientist he achieved international recognition in radar techniques for investigations of thunderstorms. His career involved him in the drama of directing instrumented research aircraft through hailstorms, participating in research on several continents to ameliorate destructive storms with cloud seeding. He played a leadership role as CEO of the Ottawa Economic Development Corporation, the Alberta Research Council, CMC Microsystems, and The Evidence Network Inc.
