Join us for a seasonal journey into the world of native plant gardening! During this workshop, we will discuss how to prepare your garden for spring by busting common myths, supporting pollinators like birds and bees, and managing invasive species. We'll cover tips on identifying worms, cultivars, and nativars, plus demonstrate how to transplant winter-sown seedlings with provided materials. Find out how to join upcoming seed, seedling, and native plant exchanges and sales in your area.
This program is presented in partnership with the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library. The Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library is a grassroots organization that promotes gardening with native plants to provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies, insects, birds, and other wildlife.
Registration preferred. Drop-ins welcome, subject to room capacity.
Event Moderation & Tips
Event Moderation & Troubleshooting Tips
1. New Events Not Appearing in Search
We’ve seen an increase in cases where newly created events do not appear in the Events search. If this happens, please try the following:
- Re-save the event’s schedule. This is especially important for events with single schedule entries, which may not index correctly on first save.
Re-saving triggers a refresh of the event data and usually resolves the issue.
2. Reminder: Moderation Process for Edited Events
Please remember that when an existing event is edited:
- Any update places the event back into moderation.
- A moderator must review and approve the changes before they become publicly visible.
If your updates don’t appear right away, the event is likely still awaiting moderation.
