The Historical Society of Ottawa presents: "The Ottawa Mosque"

Old Parliament bulding / Ancien édifice du Parlement

The Ottawa Mosque, the first mosque in the nation’s capital and one of the oldest in Canada, was conceived in 1964 and completed in 1973, at a time when Canada’s nationwide Muslim population numbered fewer than live in just Ottawa today.

Join Mohamed Ghadban, Vice-President of the Ottawa Muslim Association, to explore the history of the Ottawa Mosque and of our city’s Muslim Community.
