Canada Reads is a Battle of the Books-style competition where five celebrity panelists champion five books with the goal of their title being chosen as the book the whole country should read this year. The panelists vote to eliminate one book every day for four days until a single title is chosen. The competition has been called a "literary Survivor," and has been running for twenty-five years.
Canada Reads is also held in French: Le Combat des livres. It will be hosted by Radio-Canada in June.
