Synopsis: Parvana (Saara Chaudry) is an 11-year-old girl growing up under the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. When her father is wrongfully arrested, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy in order to be able to get a job and help to support her family. Working alongside her friend Shauzia, Parvana discovers a new world of freedom and danger.
With courage and imagination, Parvana draws strength from the fantastical stories she invents, as she embarks on a quest to find her father and reunite her family. The Breadwinner is an inspiring and beautifully animated tale about the power of stories to sustain hope and carry us through dark times.

1. New Events Not Appearing in Search
We’ve seen an increase in cases where newly created events do not appear in the Events search. If this happens, please try the following:
- Re-save the event’s schedule. This is especially important for events with single schedule entries, which may not index correctly on first save.
Re-saving triggers a refresh of the event data and usually resolves the issue.
2. Reminder: Moderation Process for Edited Events
Please remember that when an existing event is edited:
- Any update places the event back into moderation.
- A moderator must review and approve the changes before they become publicly visible.
If your updates don’t appear right away, the event is likely still awaiting moderation.
